New Upgrades Approved For Revelstoke Airport

Last week, the Columbia-Shuswap Regional District approved new upgrades for the Revelstoke airport. The upgrades will let more commercial flights land at the airport, helping boost tourism for the mountain paradise. Revelstoke, British Columbia is a year round draw for tourists. With plenty of hiking, biking and other outdoor activities to do during the summer, and epic skiing and snowboarding in the winter, Revelstoke is an amazing place to vacation. The upgrades will benefit many different aspects of the airport. Heli skiing BC Canada. One of the biggest investments will be an upgrade to the navigation approach system, which will make it easier for pilots to land at the airport. Revelstoke won't be seeing any bigger planes landing as a result, however. Plane size at the airport is restricted due to layout of the valley. The approval will also result in the installation of a new weather observation system.

This is good news for Revelstoke, as it will allow more visitors to reach the area easier in a safer manner. What all those visitors will do once they reach Revelstoke depends on the time of year, and what type of adventure they're looking for. Hiking and mountain biking are of course big draws throughout the summer, but Revelstoke also offers plenty of other fun activities like fishing, boating, and golf. For more historical and educational entertainment there are many national parks, museums, and heritage sites to be enjoyed. However, in the winter everything is all about the snow. Skiing and snow cat skiing are the favorites of course, but there is also snowmobiling and ski touring available as well.
