Revelstoke British Columbia is a world-class winter destination for skiing and snowboarding. It is a also a great place to visit in the summertime, offering seemingly endless trails for hiking and biking, alpine lakes and glacier-fed rivers for fishing, as well as golfing an many other outdoor activities. One of the other interesting things to do here is visit any of the area’s numerous museums. Learn all about what it took to make Revelstoke what it is today. Helicopter skiing Canada

As with many towns on the western side of the Rockies, both here in Canada, and in the U.S., the railway is an important part of Revelstoke's history. Visit the Railway Museum, which has a fully restored steam locomotive among other memorabilia. Visit “The Last Spike,” just south of Revelstoke where, in 1885, the Hon. Donald Alexander Smith drove the last spike completing Canada's Trans-Continental railway. Go further back in time, and visit the Rogers Pass Historic Site, where, in 1881, Major A.B. Rogers finally found a route through the Selkirk Mountains. Visit the Revelstoke Museum and Archives to learn about all the different aspects of Revelstoke History. Also check out the Firehall Museum, the B.C. Interior Forestry Museum, and the Three Valley Lake Ghost Town among others. Heliskiing BC

These activities add to any vacation, but are an especially welcome after an intensive heliskiing outing. Revelstoke offers many opportunities to experience B.C.'s white champagne gold, and the best of these comes in the form of Mica Heli Guides. The company’s 72,000 hectare tenure offers huge vertical drops, fall-line tree runs, and endless bowls of deep white powder. Book a private tour, and you get unlimited vertical, first descents (because the only thing better than first tracks is being the first person ever down a run), two professionally trained and certified guides, as well as your very own comfortable mountain chalet.
